What is Furble?

Furble is a pet-focused online community and e-commerce platform designed to make pet medications, pet food, and other pet products readily accessible and affordable – so that every Canadian can provide for their pets in an efficient, convenient, and cost-effective way.

Who makes up the Furble community?

We’ve all heard the saying “it takes a village.” When it comes to our pets, the village consists of pet parents, veterinary professionals, and other industry professionals, all with a vested interest in Canadian animals. Uniting as one community allows us to fulfill a very important vision; that every action we take will directly support the well-being and happiness of pets in Canada.

What does Furble mean?

We’re pretty sure you know Furble already! It’s the funny voice pet parents use to communicate with their pets. Most of us speak in Furble every day! It seemed only fitting that we would choose Furble to be the name of our pet-focused online community, designed for pet parent convenience and engagement.

How does Furble benefit Pet Parents?

Furble is a pet-focused online community designed for pet parent convenience and engagement. Our goal is to ensure that every Canadian pet parent can readily and confidently access affordable pet medications, pet foods, and pet products, empowering them to manage the health and well-being of their pets.

How does Furble support Veterinary Professionals?

Furble has created a secure e-commerce platform that enables veterinary practices to get pet medication to pet parents quickly, securely and reliably. By addressing accessibility, affordability and education, Furble’s pet-focused approach supports our common purpose of ensuring pet parents can readily manage the health and well-being of their pets.

How does Furble support Industry Partners?

Furble establishes a new channel for industry partners in the animal health sector to reach pet parents directly; educating, empowering, improving adherence, and thereby supporting the health and well-being of pets and veterinary practices alike. It’s a win, win, win, win (pets, pet parents, industry partners, veterinary practices)!

How does Furble give back to the community?

When we say Furble is pet-focused, we mean it. Supporting pet parents, veterinary professionals and industry partners allows us to directly influence the health and well-being of Canadian pets. That said, we are mindful that not every pet has a family (yet), not every pet parent has the means to do what’s necessary, and the communities we live in serve our united ability to do what is right for pets. Through charity work, financial contributions, and fundraising efforts, we are fundamentally committed to pets across the country by supporting them, and the people and places who care about them.

With all the consolidation happening in the veterinary industry, is Furble backed by a large corporation or private equity firm?

No. Furble is 100% independent and proudly Canadian-owned. We’re not backed by any large corporation or private equity group.

Rx and Products

Does Furble dispense injectable pet medications?

Yes.

Do I need a prescription to order pet medications?

Yes, you need a valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian in order to order items with a drug identification number (DIN). Those prescriptions will be securely sent, according to the College of Pharmacists requirements, to one of our trusted pharmacy partners, to fill and dispense.

What if my Veterinary Practice won’t give me a prescription?

Contact our Customer Care team and we will help you navigate this.

How do you verify prescriptions?

One of our partner pharmacists will directly obtain the prescription and verify it. This process typically takes around three business days.

Do you offer pet insurance plans?

Not yet, coming soon.

Are your medications sourced safely and Health Canada approved?

100%. We only source from licensed Canadian distributors and pharmacies.

Does Furble offer compounded medications?

Yes, Furble can help with compounded medications. Just reach out to our team and we’ll guide you through the next steps.

My pet has allergies—how can I check ingredients?

Every product listing includes full ingredient lists and usage info. Still unsure? Reach out—we’re happy to help.

Can I get veterinary-exclusive pet food diets?

Not yet, coming soon.

Is Furble a Canadian company?

Yes. We are 100% Canadian owned and operated. Furble was started by two Canadian veterinarians from Alberta. They saw the potential to do more for pets and their pet parents by creating an e-commerce platform that would unite all of the professionals involved in pet care and well-being; creating a convenient, accessible, and affordable option for people who care about pets.

Do I need to visit my veterinarian before I order pet medications on Furble?

This depends on when your pet last visited your veterinary practice, and their current health status. In order to keep them safe, it will be up to the vet’s discretion as to when it is, and isn’t, appropriate to prescribe medications for your pet.

Shipping

What are the shipping costs?

Shipping is free for all orders over $48. For orders under $48, shipping will be calculated based on your cart and location.

Can I track my order?

After your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. You can also check the status of your order by logging into your account and navigating to the ‘Orders’ section.

What is Autoship?

Autoship is a subscription-based service that delivers your pet’s favourite products based on your schedule, at a frequency of your choosing. This ensures you never run out of your essential items.

Are there discounts for Autoship orders?

Yes, Pet Parents who use Autoship can save an extra 5% (TBD) on select brands for all future Autoship orders.

How can I modify or cancel my Autoship?

You can manage your Autoship settings any time by logging into your account and navigating to the ‘Manage Autoship’ section. From there, you can change the shipping address, payment method, frequency, or cancel the subscription.

Returns

How do I return an item?

To return an item, contact our Customer Care team with your order number. They will work with you to determine return eligibility and provide you with instructions on how to proceed with the return.

Can I return prescription medications?

Due to federal and provincial regulations, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on prescription medications. However, if you receive incorrect or damaged medication, please contact our Customer Care team for assistance.

Are prices listed in CAD?

Yes, all prices are listed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). After all, Furble is Canadian!

Furble has Pharmacy Partners across the country, supporting our ability to provide you with reliable, trusted, and efficient service.

My veterinarian is charging me a prescription fee if I don’t fill it at their veterinary practice What are my options?
